Sustainable events. Leaving smaller footprints…

The Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Sustainability Roadshow visited over 100,000 people in 75 workplaces, institutions, and vending environments across Britain during Summer 2022. The series of events was an opportunity to share information about the company’s sustainability action plan.

This was the first time Coca-Cola Europacific Partners had undertaken a carbon neutral roadshow. We journeyed to more than 75 workplace, institutions and vending environments across the UK, reaching more than 100,000 people who were able to sample Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, discover the story behind the bottle and the learn about the business’ sustainability commitments.

DNEL Events together with CCEP shared information about its sustainability programme and were available to answer customer questions alongside the Coca-Cola Zero Sugar sampling activity, supported by point-of-sale (POS) materials, interactive games and merchandise giveaways. We ensured the roadshow followed a carbon-neutral logistics plan utilising our fleet of electric vehicles and event trailers. We even employed waterborne freight to transport stock to events… all focused on keeping greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to an absolute minimum.

The roadshow launched in partnership with RSK Group, with all organisations committed to reducing the environmental and social impacts of events. RSK will collate and calculate the carbon emissions, including those emitted through the generation of the electricity needed to power the transport fleet, and create a plan to help the business offset any remaining emissions to ensure that the roadshow is carbon neutral.

Here at DNEL Events, we provide a carbon neutral experiential event service which creates impactful experiences that all come with a guaranteed WOW factor and one that turns event attendees into strong brand advocates. We believe partnerships and collaboration are vital to accelerate decarbonisation and build a sustainable future for our people, customers and communities.

We’re always looking to work with businesses who mirror our ambition on social responsibility and sustainability, whether that’s through wildlife restoration projects with charities like the Rivers Trust, or through carbon reduction initiatives through the roll-out of renewable energy solutions, so it’s fantastic to be working with CCEP on this project, whose vision aligns with our own.
